NURS-BS - Nursing

The mission of the York College Nursing Program is to offer a liberal arts-based experience to guide students in attaining the knowledge, skills, and values essential for professional nurse leaders and managers, including the ability to make sound judgment and address the health needs of diverse cultural groups within the urban community.

The RN- Baccalaureate completion program is exclusively designed for students who are Registered Nurses (RN) (graduates of diploma and associate degree nursing programs) who desire to earn a baccalaureate degree.

The program will prepare a generalist professional nurse to deliver professional nursing care in a variety of settings, with a focus on primary level intervention (prevention of illness/disease and maintenance of health) with the purpose to:

1. prepare a professional practitioner of nursing

2. provide a foundation for graduate study in nursing
