The Cost of Education

The cost of education is a vital factor in determining which educational program aligns best with your goals and aspirations. The information below will help you calculate the costs associated with attending York College. By performing some basic calculations, you can create your student budget. Typically, a student budget includes direct educational costs such as tuition, fees, books, and supplies, as well as indirect costs incurred while attending school, such as transportation and meals. If you are not living with your parents, you should also factor in housing costs. Additionally, students with young children should include childcare expenses in their budget.

Developing a Budget

The following are the most recent CUNY guidelines for establishing the total cost of education for financial aid purposes. The amounts may vary depending on whether a student is living with their parents or living away from home. Keep in mind that these are minimum figures; actual costs, particularly for housing, may be higher. These figures are based on an academic year of nine months.
