A fundamental component for first-year student success is understanding the resources available. New Student Orientation (NSO) allows for students to get information about the college’s resources through direct contact with student support services and peer-to-peer engagement which contributes to social skill building and helps cultivate a student’s connection to the college. NSO is offered to new first-year and transfer students each semester. The program consists of informative presentations from student support areas, a student experience panel, a resource fair and more.
