Free Tutoring and Academic Support Resources
York College Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) provides student-centered academic support to assist learning and understanding of course content across disciplines.
Students can:
work with tutors at any stage of the writing process
receive help understanding challenging concepts and principles
work independently or with a tutor using anatomical models and study aids
access other resources and materials
The CLC provides free one-on-one, group, and online synchronous tutoring sessions, as well as free skill-building and subject-area workshops to help you prepare for upcoming exams. The CLC supports students' success by collaborating with faculty to identify, hire, and train peer tutors in discipline-specific areas. Ongoing tutor training and observations help reinforce skills learned in professional development workshops and keep tutoring practices current.
To meet with a tutor, go to https://www.york.cuny.edu/clc and log in using your York College Network Account. Once logged in, you can select the subject you need help with and choose a time slot that suits you. The system will then match you with an available tutor.
