CUNY Aviation Center

Established in 2003, the City University of New York (CUNY) Aviation Center at York College is the first CUNY center dedicated to Aviation Management, funded by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. It aims to deliver transformative aviation education and offers innovative programs to support student development.

Prospective students interested in exciting careers in the aviation industry can enroll in either the Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Aviation Management degrees within the Department of Business and Economics.

The Aviation Management programs are designed for students who aspire to lead and manage in the aviation sector. By balancing key aviation concepts with advanced business strategies, the curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in aviation expertise, industry standards, management principles, and leadership skills, all taught by experts from the aviation industry. The program covers all aspects of aviation management, including airport and airline economics, aeronautical science, accounting, marketing, environmental considerations, aviation safety, asset protection, and global business strategies. This educational approach offers students significant advantages over traditional aviation programs by focusing on the skills and knowledge necessary for today’s industry. Upon graduation, students will be well-prepared for desirable staff, operational, and executive positions within the aviation sector.
