Description
This is a closed course for students in their final year of ROTC training. The course trains college seniors in the skills needed for success as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Topics covered include non-commissioned officer relationships, effective military writing and speaking, joint ethics regulations, and the code of conduct. Students are given instruction in the theory behind Army training methods and then apply these techniques through individual or group projects aimed at providing training for the lower level ROTC students. Students will plan, and conduct the laboratory training component attended by the first through third students as practical exercises to their classroom instruction. Participation in the Physical Training, Leadership Lab and field trips are required. ** MSci 400 level students must officially "contract" as an ROTC cadet , entering a commissioning program with the end state of serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. A contracted cadet MUST attend Physical Training 4 times a week.
