Description

This course will examine the strategies used in the preservation and retrieval of documents. It will also examine the nature of library and archival materials and the variety of processes which cause their deterioration. Conservation treatments for combating deterioration are analyzed from the point of view of the librarian or archivist. It also looks at the impact of technology on recordkeeping.
