Planning & Funding for Public Health

Description

This course prepares students to analyze the planning and development process for community- based, -focused and driven public health programs and policies. The PRECEDE- PROCEED model is used as a planning framework with other models, such as Intervention Mapping, highlighted. Logic modeling, constructing a letter of intent, working with a host agency and identifying sources of funding are covered. Emphasis is placed on integration of epidemiology, biostatistics, proposal writing and project budget planning.
