Applied Biostatistics in Public Health

Description

This survey course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skills to conduct statistical techniques applied to tests and measurements in public health. It will concentrate on the interpretation and comprehension of graphical and statistical techniques that are important components of research and public health practice. Students will be exposed to topics such as vital statistics, and the evaluation of tools to measure health attitudes, knowledge, and behavior. In addition, students will learn to use computer software for statistical analysis. This course may be offered in a face-to-face, hybrid or asynchronous online format.
