Description
This course addresses Alzheimer's Disease (AD) the major type of dementia and major cause of cognitive impairment in the aging. Dementia affects sixteen percent of those over the age of 65, of which two-thirds have the Alzheimer's type disease. Since increasing age is the greatest risk factor for dementia, this course will prepare those involved in the field of aging to better understand and manage the disease. This course is designed for health and healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community service providers.
