Description
The purpose of this course is to bring a logical and systematic approach to the identification of emerging opportunities and the development of concepts for new ventures, and to explore a number of critical challenges surrounding the entrepreneur's ability to recognize and act on such ideas. Thus, the course seeks to help the students develop and appreciate their own entrepreneurial potential, and their abilities to recognize entrepreneurial possibilities. It will be a very hands-on course and students will produce a series of creative concepts and ideas, and will be actively involved in helping to critique and enhance the ideas of others. Issues in new concept implementation will be stressed. We will also explore a number of cases that illustrate real world problem and challenges in coming up with and implementing new concepts. This course may be offered in a face-to-face, hybrid or asynchronous online format.
