Description

This course is a comprehensive survey of the role of the stage manager within the development of a theatrical production from inception to completion. This includes reading and discussion of major plays, their breakdown and technical needs. Students will learn the work that is necessary to run a professional production and the importance of the stage management position. This includes practical work on rehearsals and performances of the York College Theatre semester shows as well as guest speakers and outside trips.
